Yesterday, Joanne Lim brought Ice Cream and Panda for treatment.

Yesterday I had abt a 50 mins session with the vet. He also observed them during our discussion n exploring what should n could be done for them.
Looking at the fact that Ice Cream and Panda (ICP) are strays that live in the factory, the reason of the skin prob may be due to exposed to chemicals (since they roam freely in the factory), food allergy, infected by other dogs or even ticks/fleas.
There is not much a vet can do for them and he said there is no point spending a lot of money or do blood tests, but will not see much result since they are lack of good diet n clean living place. Because of that, their skin r not healthy n very prune to bacteria infection. Both of them r having different bacteria infections. But I have forgotten to ask him whether it is contagious. Can u pls check with the vet?
So he suggested a few things that can be done : 1) Vaccine 2) Deworm from time to time 3) Neuter (after 2 weeks since the skin prob is not very bad) 4) Bathe them periodicly 5) Best is get them rehomed (so they can be healthy n clean all the time) or at least foster for recovering fr skin prob n after neuter operation
For now, the vet suggested medicated bath twice every week which I agreed to and his response was : "Wow, I'm really impressed that u can do that for them". Also he suggested bathing 1 of them n the other the next day so easier for me to handle. And to get tick collar for ICP eventhough it is not very popular but at least it can help to control ticks on ICP which is more economical.
If this method of medicated bath does not work, the vet said he will prescribe omega supplements instead.
So I have got the MALASEB medicated shampoo prescribed by the vet yesterday but not the tick collars as there were no more small size (below 10kg) at the clinic, according to the vet, it can be bought at any petshop at ard RM30 each.
Thank you very much for everything.
Our vet always sits on the floor to observe and interact with the animals.
Ice Cream's skin condition
And Panda's...
We subsidised the vaccination and deworming while Joanne paid for the MALASEB.
It's really kind of Joanne to look after these factory dogs.
