If you have requested for our financial assistance for spay-neuter or medical treatment and an appointment has been made for you, we would also like to request for your kind cooperation in being punctual for the appointment. Should there be any unforeseen circumstances, could you kindly inform me and the clinic concerned?
Could you also reccee the clinic beforehand (if you email me, I would have sent you the address and in some cases, even a map) so that you won't have to spend time looking for it on the day of the appointment and end up being late?
We hope those requesting for help will understand that once an appointment has been made, that slot has been reserved for you and if you do not turn up on time, another animal has been deprived of that slot. It would also be extremely unfair for the vet, especially when we are on a rescue rate.
The infamous and almost-shameful "Malaysian Time" should not be something we are proud of, or even adhere to. Culture or habit aside, whatever is not right, should be changed.
Please note that when an appointment is made, it is not "Malaysian Time" that we are referring to, but the actual GMT +8hrs.
Please be punctual?
Thank you for your cooperation.
P.S. I'm compelled to write this posting because we've had two cases prior to this where the rescuers were more than ONE HOUR late for the appointment. No call was made to the clinic or to me. I had to apologise to the vets.
But, for all those who have been punctual, we thank you so, so much!
