Baggy Thanks Everyone For The Positive Wishes

Ref:http://myanimalcare.org/2012/08/09/baggy-has-leukemia-and-there-is-little-hope-left/

Baggy was diagnosed with leukemia this afternoon (the blood test showed a “strong positive”) and the vet says the prognosis was very poor even based on the paleness of her mucous membrane and gums. The severity of her condition came as a shock to me as she had not shown any signs of weakness except for the paleness.

But we are definitely not giving up and currently, Baggy is on steroids, Hi-Vite Drops (a liver supplement), RetroMAD1 and is still continuing with the Doxycycline that she started 10 days ago.

Her blood PCV was only 8% this afternoon and the blood was visibly “diluted”. Blood transfusion was not recommended as it would only give her temporary relief. I’m praying for the miracle of RetroMAD1 to work and of course, for the Universe to do what it is supposed to do.

Since my first post, your positive comments, smses and emails have come pouring in and we are extremely touched and very grateful for your kindness, encouragement and support. The best we can do now is to collectively send positive vibrations to Baggy; that would be most helpful at this time. Thank you so much for doing this.

Here are some photos of Baggy taken this evening at dinner time and after that.

Baggy at her sentry post. She loves sitting on the two tree trunks.

Jumping onto the table when she saw the AD. This is her second AD meal since coming back from the vet’s.

Yum yums…

Attracted by a tree shrew outside.

Still stalking the tree shrew…

Baggy is still very alert even though her blood PCV is very low.

Baggy’s friends cheering her on…and staying near.

Grooming herself after dinner.

Now, attracted by a little moth.

Thank you for cheering me on, Uncles and Aunties!
