GOODBYE LITTLE ALICIA…
It’s been such a sad week at the shelter. Two of our long term residents have sadly passed away. We brought you the sad news of dear little Emmy earlier this week & now poor little Alicia has died.

Alicia lived in our Hotel run. She was an extremely quiet, timid little girl who liked her own company. She had her own little kennel which she guarded jealously. She learned to love treats from volunteers & if you gave her one, she’d run back to her kennel to keep it safe!

Alicia died of a ‘thromboembolism” which is blood clot. It was totally unexpected & we’re going to miss her terribly. The hotel run will not be the same without her. She’s lived in this run for 4 years after coming into the shelter in 2008 with a litter of puppies. Alicia found it hard to trust people, but over the past few months she was certainly improving. You could even sit next to her on her little bench, as long as you didn’t look a her. Bless her little soul, she will be sadly missed by us all.
