We’ve written many times about the benefits of getting animals neutered, but it doesn’t hurt to arm ourselves with the latest statistics to convince others to do it too.

According to the article above, 5 million unwanted animals are euthanised every year in Malaysian shelters (by simple arithmetic, the 575 figure per day in the article seems to be wrong). Even if that figure is exaggerated, we KNOW street animals are being captured and euthanised – that is an undeniable fact and can be easily verified with a visit to a shelter or worse, the pound.
