We have subsidised RM132.40 for Ralphie’s first bill. We have also recommended Dr Susanna and Lydia for follow-up alternative therapy for Ralphie, upon Teresa’s request.

Dear Kah Yein,
I am writing to you to appeal for sponsorship for my new rescue. He is currently boarding and being treated at the vet’s.
On Sunday July 1st, my neighbours alerted me to a stray white dog who fell into a drain in the back alley. He was whining in pain. They lifted the dog out of the drain and he started dragging himself across the back lane with his two front legs. Both his back legs seem to be paralysed. They captured the dog and I brought him to the vet’s on the following Monday. I named him Ralphie. The X-ray shows that he suffers from a fractured spine which damaged some nerves. The vet suspected that he might have been ran over by a vehicle due to the impact that has caused the spinal injury.
The vet has suggested two options: The first option is to admit him into another clinic for a surgery that might cost RM6 – 7K. The recovery period is projected to take up to 6 weeks with no guarantee of an absolute recovery. Second option is to make a body cast for him + cage up to 6 weeks and let the bones reset itself. And acupuncture once a week for 5 weeks. This is a cheaper alternative but again, with no guarantee of an absolute recovery. I have opted for the second option. Do you have any suggestions?
Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
