MEET THE DOGS FROM OUR TREATMENT/RECOVERY RUNS… Our “C” Runs house many dogs who cannot be mixed with others for various reasons. Some have come from our intensive care clinic & are recovering from treatment, others are waiting for sterilization. Some pens contain dogs with similar problems – we have skin problem dogs, TVT (venereal tumours) & most of these dogs have not been fully vaccinated, so we need to keep them quarantined for safety. Some of these dogs are owned by locals & will be returned when well, others may need to stay at the shelter. Our vets & carers spend a lot of time with these dogs as most have ongoing treatment & medication to be adminsitered. This run is where much of our donated funds are put to best use, trying to improve the health & wellbeing of these unfortunate dogs. The C Runs are out of bounds to visitors, so as not to spread any transmissable diseases. There are many sad faces in these runs & you just want to take them all home.
