ME & MY SISTER…. THEY’RE INSEPARABLE & NEED A FOREVER HOME TOGETHER!
You’ve read their story & seen their photo album, now see these two sisters on video!
These 2 shy dogs were found at a local temple in 2009 by a volunteer called “Rock” & the 2 girls were named after him – Rockess & Rocksette. They were severely malnourished when found & constantly picked on by the other temple dogs. The girls were miserable, could not compete for food & had virtually given up on living.
Rock brought them to Soi Dog & they’ve lived here ever since. Rockess & Rocksette are never seen alone, they stick together like glue. They eat together, sleep together, & are never more than a few feet apart. They are both fairly shy & rank very low in their run, so they like to stick together preferring to stay out of the way of the more dominant dogs.
The girls like nothing more than to be taken out for a walk together & allowed to run free in the garden. They race around, sniffing the grass & playing with one another, something they never do in their run. It is lovely to see them do this & we’d hate to think their entire lives would be spent in the shelter. They are still a little shy with people, but once they trust you they will literally leap into your arms to go walkies!
Volunteers (Cindy & Derek) have been especially touched by these girls & sponsor them both. They would miss them dearly if they left the shelter, but nothing would please them more than to know this pair had a loving home together.
We need to find these girls a home together as we would hate to seperate them. They’ve spent more than 3 years here already, it’s time they found happiness. It’s a big ask to find someone willing to adopt 2 dogs, but we hope that someone special is out there. The girls are approx 5 years old & in good health. If you’d like more information about adopting Rockess & Rocksette please email cindy@soidog.org
