For her, the stairway to the sky train station is home and people in the neighborhood know her very well. She is always there, every day, because she does not undertake long walks. Oliang is almost blind because she suffers from cataract. But she is a lovely lady and people in the neighborhood take care of her because her blindness does not allow her to look after herself. I found Oliang during the Songkran holidays at the BTS Tak Sin station and fell in love with her. I knew then that I have to come back to help her. In the meantime I used the time to get more information about cataract and how I want to help Oliang to get her eyesight back again. Finally I decided to pick up Oliang and together with Susanne and Mariann we went to the sky train station to bring Oliang to a vet clinic. Now Oliang is at the Bangkok Animal Hospital for eye treatment. At first she will be examined for general health conditions since she is a street dog and then she will be treated with suitable medicine to fight the cataract. When her eyes respond well to the medicine she will not need a special surgery. Otherwise we will have to transfer her to a special animal eye clinic. But for now she will stay a whole month in the hospital and we all hope that she makes good progress. Oliang’s treatment will be expensive to say the least but there is hope that she will see again and enjoy the rest of her life. Would you like to help?
