Bubu�s Medical Problem (Maslinda Abd Talib�s)

i’ve never actually applied for any subsidy for bubu as i always received “xtra money” whenever i brought bubu for treatment. was rescued early march with pus and swollen penis with prolapse. named him bubu coz he is grey (kelaBU) and BUlat. he needs to be assisted to empy the bladder coz he cant poo and pee on his own. at times, i call him BuBuBu (the last Bu is for busuk coz since he cant feel that he’s actually passing stool)

apart from that he also suffers from spinal problem. he can barely moved his right hind leg when first rescued. but after few visits to the vet and prescribed with neurobion, the conditions improve and he no longer drag his right hind leg

in all, he’s a normal, active & friendly kitten. it seem like he actually didnt notice that he’s “different” from the others. he was also brought for acupuncture and he’s able to pee on his own with only one pressure from me. if not i always have to express the bladder till its empty. after the acupuncture, i only have to initiate one pressure at the bladder and he can pee on his own. my only target for any treatment i brought him is for him to be able to pee and poo on his own. so that if i’m not around due to work, it’ll be easier for my substitute to manage him.

unfortunately he also died last night. he only being sick once (apart from the above problem) where he develops flu on thursday. not eating at all on friday, brought to vet the next day. the vet said he has some other problem and might be the weakest, therefore even it’s just a flu, it gives quite an impact to his overall condition

We are quickly reminded of the plight of stray animals and the need to get as many as possible neutered so that we reduce the breeding and the suffering on the street.
