Indy Escapes Again.sigh

This morning, I came downstairs and found Indy on Mr G’s ledge. He had escaped again!
He’s trying to come back inside but doesn’t know how.
Obviously, he’s been looking at Mr G, but hasn’t learnt the trick of getting back into the house from the ledge. So I lured him to walk along the ledge, hoping he would just walk all the way to the front and I’ll guide him back into the garden, but upon approaching the corner, he did not know how to turn! Now, how did Mr G do it so easily, and Mr G is so big?
So, Indy started freaking out and that was worrying because it would be so easy for him to jump into the back neighbour’s garden and I don’t think they would like that at all.
Red alert, red alert, I’m hitting the panic button now.
I heard someone make some “shoo”ing sounds and Indy got really frightened and started panicking.
Luckily, that shoo-ing sound made him jump back onto our roof and my husband caught him from the upstairs window.
Phew!
He had dug a hole through the netting.
Here’s the renegade.
Sorry, Indy. You just got to stay in the condo until we fix this hole.
A temporary fixture for now.
A (hopefully!) more permanent one now.
How can we make Indy understand it’s too dangerous to get out?
It may be fun for him, but I was told there are people who do not like cats in this back row of houses.
Even Mr G’s owner has barricaded their backyard with netting now. I think it’s serious. There must have been complaints from the neighbours. Guess we won’t be seeing Mr G anymore. And this might make Indy even more determined to get out…to visit Mr G.
Poor Indy, poor Mr G, poor cats. It is a natural tendency for cats to roam and explore, but when you have neighbours who do not like animals, you have to confine your animals for their own safety.
