Indys Double-Escape!

This morning, when I came downstairs and fed the cats, Indy was no where to be found. I searched everywhere in the room and garden and he was not in Bunny’s Place!

After a frantic search, with all the cats following me (including Baggy), I found Indy right outside the Stargate – exactly where Mr G hangs out every evening. The naughty boy must have escaped sometime during the night and wandered out for a midnight stroll. I couldn’t figure out how on earth he got out, though, but I was in a hurry as I had to get to work. I thought I’d sort that out later. So I quickly brought him in.

Before I could even get to work, as I was packing my things, Indy went missing again!

This time, I panicked as it was morning and it isn’t so safe for him to outside. I went out to the front garden to search for him and walked right to the back at entrance to the Stargate and there he was, on top of the roof!

I quickly went upstairs to my son’s room and there was Indy! He looked a bit afraid and was uncertain where to go. I opened the window and called him. He came, but he didn’t quite want to come in. You know how it is with cats, they are “just there”, but you just cannot catch them. He then walked towards the direction of Mr G’s house and I was really worried. If he jumped down to Mr G’s house, he might not know the way back as that’s at the back of our house and we have no back lane. What’s more, I was told there is a cat-hater over that side who poisons cats. So, I kept calling Indy to come back but after a few minutes of unsuccessful haggling, my husband took the keys to the window grille, opened the grille and grabbed him. Luckily he was near enough to be grabbed.

I was almost late for work, so I quickly brought him down and put him in the condo first. He ought to be safe in the condo while I’m at work.

When Baggy saw Indy in the condo, she quickly went in and sat on her fishpad! In spite of all the panic, fear, worry, mixed emotions, I managed a smile at the sight of Baggy quickly going in to sit on her fishpad. It was really cute. But no time to lose, I just had to get to work. So, both Indy and Baggy were locked in the condo.

Later at work, during a break, I called home and my husband had released Baggy and detected the escape route.

Mr G had dug a hole big enough for Indy to escape, or did Indy dig it himself? And the second netting had been pulled down (this is definitely Indy’s doing).

Husband patched it up, but kept Indy in the condo as a punishment.

Here he is, when I returned from work.

I let him out after that and…

Saying “thank you” to Baggy for using the condo?

But soon, our masked hero tried again…

WHO sealed up my escape route???

I’m not happy.

Konked out all afternoon after a failed attempt.

Just now, in the evening…

He tried again.

Caught in the act – Indy scratching and attempting to pull the net down.

This is too much…I called him to stop, but since when have cats ever listened to humans, right?

So, the water-gun had to be used.

That got the masked hero down and into the condo for now.

I’ll let him out under supervision…until we secure that netting.

It’s already 3 layers now, but it’s still not Indy-proofed yet.

Been there, done that. Not interested…for now.

On parole.
