Hi Dr Chan,

As I have no experience at all in handling pets, let alone a post-surgery kitten, the sight of Cici yesterday made me scared and unsure whether what I’d do after her surgery is the right move or not. She was sleeping almost all the time after returning home yesterday (see pict Cici 7 & 6). I slept dowstairs with them and ocassionally Cici woke up and walked to her mother. The wobbly legs are gone. Gave her homemade food @ 2.30 am but only after Gaban has gobbled half of it. This morning she is awake and went to the cage to eat some kibbles. I don’t know whether it is ok or not but if she eats then that’s good for me. Kept directing her to the wetfood but as you can see in pict trio 1, Gaban was the one who poke his head in the bowl. The pict Cici & Britney was the sight that greeted me when I went downstairs after the morning shower. But Gaban is a bit hostile to Cici. Maybe because from behind she looks like Cici but upfront, the face is unfamiliar to Gaban. In pict. Gaban & Cici post op, Gaban was actually growling when I put Cici besides him. My brother Joe caught Gaban trying to scratch Cici earlier on.
Cici poo-ed this morning and I take that as another good sign, right Dr? Jo will give her the 2 meds (1 is antibiotic and another is anti-inflammatory) this morning. Her breathing issometimesfaster than usual.
Let’s hope Cici be doing well and recover fast. And please wish us all the best in giving Cici the utmost care that we could.
The bill is RM537.00 but we will not claim for subsidy.
Thank you Dr Chan.
Anna

Don’t you think Anna is doing a fantastic job at taking care of Cici? As far as I know, eating, pee-ing and poo-ing are the best signs one can hope for, even for healthy animals, so what more, for one who has just undergone surgery at such a young age! Good job, Anna and Jo! And many thanks to our vet for the surgery and extra care taken for Cici.We wish Cici a wonderful recovery, lots of happy playtime with her siblings and mum when she is well, and a very happy life ahead.

To Anna and Jo – Thank you for adopting this family despite knowing Cici has an eye problem and may lose the eye. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder and the beauty of your hearts is exemplary.
