Dear Dr Chan,

Remember the 2 cats, Grey and WhiteOne that AnimalCare help neuter/vaccinate and also advertise for adoption? (I provide links below)

At the end of last month, Grey and WhiteOne were adopted by Cynthia who (at the time) lived quite close to us. She and her future husband were moving to their new house in USJ and were looking to adopt 2 cats to complete their home. I think Cynthia and her husband were very patient with the 2 boys because as pseudo-strays, they were quite apprehensive of new people. So both of them spent more than a week coming daily in the evening to get to know the 2 of them before taking them home. I was really happy to hear that they were willing to do this because it showed that they really wanted the 2 boys.
I had asked Cynthia to give me a photo of her and the cats when they felt at home enough with her to be able to do that. A few days back I got this MMS from her with this photo. I think it’s really nice to see the boys have finally settled and are in a loving forever home.
I just wanted to share with you an update on these 2 boys and would like to thanks AnimalCare for all the help with vaccinations and neutering while they were part of our resident cat community.
Best regards,
Donovan

I wanted to add that it’s not always as easy to adopt off adult animals (cats or dogs) and it takes time for the new owners to bond with their new pets. Actually Cynthia had an option to adopt another 2 very cute kittens but she decided to take these 2 boys because she was concerned that they would have no home when we needed to leave the country even though she knew it was going to take sometime to get close to them.

I forgot to mention that Grey and WhiteOne have been given the names Sam and Dean. Cynthia and her husband are big fans of the TV show Supernatural where the main characters (brothers) are named Sam and Dean.

Thank you, Don, and thank you, Cynthia for giving Sam and Dean a loving home.

We would want to feature more of such stories, so if you have an adoption story to tell, please forward it to us.

Good things and good stories are meant to be shared and spread around, encouraging more to grow!
