Updates On Sean (our Distemper Survivor, From His Owner, Charlie)

In our first year (2009), we did some rescue work, and one of our rescues was Sean.
Sean was rescued from the Klang Dog Pound on the day he was due to be euthanised.
He tested positive for distemper, but due to the benefit of youth, he only had a cough and some diarrhoea. He recovered quickly and was fostered by my mother for many months until he got too big and too strong and my mother could no longer handle him.

Charlie adopted Sean and Sean has had a good life since then.
Sean even saved another dog’s life:http://myanimalcare.org/2011/03/10/sean-saves-a-life/
Charlie has been in contact with us, especially with my mother as he services her car, and now, Sean lives in Charlie’s workshop in PJ as Charlie and his wife spends almost the whole day at the workshop.
Here are some photos of Sean, sent by Charlie yesterday:
Good boy, Sean!
Charlie wrote in his sms that Sean has lots of place to run about in the workshop and is a happy dog.
We have another distemper survivor, Tara, who is also pampered to the core by her family now. Tara was also rescued from the Klang Dog Pound but had quite a bad distemper condition. She had to be put on drips and was hospitalised. But she survived too and was adopted by my mother’s good friend. Tara now goes for daily runs with Jennifer, the friend’s daughter.

We do not do anymore rescue now because we do not have a shelter to place the animals in and we also do not have fosterers to look after them.
We now focus on providing medical and neutering subsidies for rescuers and caregivers, and planting the seeds of love and compassion for animals, through education.
