🚨 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗣𝗝 🚨

Your support is urgently needed to protect the innocent pets at Mutiara Oriental Condo (MOC) Petaling Jaya from a heartbreaking crackdown.

When MOC owners purchased their homes in 2013, pets were allowed under the original by-laws. Although new pets were later restricted, existing pets were welcomed and the community embraced a pet-friendly environment.

Over the years, responsible pet ownership thrived, with only six minor complaints in a decade — all peacefully resolved. A Pet Sub-Committee was even formed to ensure cooperation and harmony, and many pets have become cherished members of the community — including a heroic little dog, CS, who saved his elderly owner from a fire! 🔥

However, in 2023, a new resident began aggressively campaigning for a complete pet ban, allegedly using misleading accusations. Despite overwhelming support for pet owners — with 96% voting to allow existing pets at the 2024 AGM — relentless pressure on the authorities has led to a directive from Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya in 2025, banning dogs above the ground floor and threatening fines and police action.

This enforcement defies the democratic will of the residents and is causing deep emotional trauma to families who simply wish to let their pets live out their lives peacefully. We respectfully urge the authorities to honor the community’s decision and show compassion.
