✨ Selamat Hari Raya from SCAS! ✨

While we celebrate this joyous season, our rescue work never stops. Just yesterday, a kind soul saved a very sick cat from the streets and brought her to us. We don’t know her name or gender yet, but we do know she’s in terrible pain—her little face is covered in wounds, and the vet suspects sporotrichosis (sporo), a serious fungal infection that can be life-threatening if left untreated. 🥺

🐾 What is Sporo?

Sporotrichosis is a fungal infection that causes deep, painful ulcers, mostly on the face and limbs. It spreads through scratches, bites, or even contaminated surfaces, and requires long-term treatment—sometimes over a year! Our last sporo rescue, Batman, spent 1.5 years at the vet and is still healing. 💔

We are urgently pleading for:

💰 Donations – Treatment is long, intensive, and costly

🏡 A foster home – Once stable, she’ll need a safe space to recover

Second Chance is a group of like-minded animal lovers who met through the Internet when they read of Aunty Kiew's plight.

They do their very best to render help whenever time permits and within their limited capacities. They hope to find good homes for as many homeless animals as possible. Currently, there are 100+ animals rescued and fostered by this group.
