Half of her paw was gone, leaving exposed or missing, and causing her immense pain. 😓 After a thorough assessment by our expert veterinary team, the difficult decision was made to amputate her leg. While it’s not a choice taken lightly, it was the best way to ensure she would be free from pain and a comfortable life.

Now, Cactus lives in the sanctuary, where she’s found a special bond with her carer, slowly learning that she’s safe and loved. While she’s still wary of others, the world is feeling a little less scary each day. 🧡
