A soi kitty in the Emerald City! 🐱🏙️

Bernie (shelter name Banaful) was brought into our care in early 2022 with a skin condition that had caused her to scratch and scratch until open wounds formed across her body.

After a gradual recovery, Bernie was fortunate enough to be adopted to Seattle, USA 🇺🇸 later that same year. She’s since been surrounded by love – both human and feline! Here’s an update from her adopter:

“Bernie arrived on December 14th, 2022 and has changed my life.

I have another cat, Olive, so I kept Bernie in a separate bedroom for a few nights to do the slow intro process and one night I slept on the floor with her so she wouldn’t be alone.

That night, she brought a toy ball to me so I threw it and she brought it back! I didn’t want her to forget how to play so we played for hours! She was so much smaller and energetic than I imagined!

In March 2024, I adopted a new cat, Jonesy, from outside as a stray. He and Bernie are absolutely in love.

I have Soi Dog to thank for everything.”
