Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Asian Species Action Partnership (ASAP) team—Daniel Willcox, Li Ling, and Elizabeth—as they visited to learn more about our river terrapin conservation efforts.

Beyond saving turtles, they saw how our work empowers local communities through the Terrapin Guardians and Women Tailors, ensuring that conservation goes hand in hand with sustainable livelihoods.

A special highlight of their visit? Spotting river terrapins surfacing for air—just like Tony and Mike from Earth Ranger! 🌊✨ Moments like these remind us why our mission is so important. We also had meaningful discussions on expanding our reach, strengthening partnerships with local entrepreneurs, and finding new ways to make a lasting impact.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
