I’ve been walking this same road for months now, but today, on the first day of Chinese New Year, I came across a heartbreaking sight—an unfamiliar soul, a mother dog, lying down in fear. Someone had abandoned her here, leaving behind food and water, but not the comfort and love she desperately needs.

She is frightened yet gentle, a true angel in need of a safe and loving home. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment where pets are not allowed, or I would take her in without hesitation.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
