Seven years of Mimmo 😻

A young Mimmo came to Soi Dog back in 2016 with severe injuries to his left hind leg and tail, both of which sadly had to be amputated.

After almost 18 months with us, this sweet boy joined one of our partner rescues in the USA 🇺🇸 where he was soon fostered and then foster failed/adopted!

Here, his adopter reflects on seven lovely years together (and counting):

“Mimmo wasn’t the cat that I was originally supposed to foster, but I couldn’t be happier with how things worked out.

As soon as I brought Mimmo home, he jumped out of his crate and started cuddling in my lap. He was instantly fearless and wouldn’t let his missing leg slow him down!

After a few months of fostering, I knew I couldn’t say goodbye to Mimmo and officially became his forever home in early 2018.

Seven years later, Mimmo is happy and healthy in our home in Maryland. He is the friendliest cat that I’ve ever met and loves cuddles (he’s sleeping on my lap as I write this). He loves absolutely everyone and adores spending time with his adopted sibling, Phantom.

Mimmo has been an endless source of love and I truly can’t describe the impact that he’s made in my life. I’ve had an amazing 7 years with Mimmo and look forward to many more. I can’t thank the Soi Dog team enough for taking care of Mimmo and bringing him into my life.”
