Before Adopt A Senior Pet Month Draws To A Close, ..

Before Adopt A Senior Pet Month draws to a close, we have one more success story to share with you – Blackyleky! 🖤

Arriving at Soi Dog back in 2021, Blackyleky was sick, skinny and limping due to an old fracture which had healed incorrectly.

With the help of surgery and physiotherapy, she recovered well and afterwards had only the usual aches that come with being a senior.

It must be true that good things come to those who wait, as after three and a half years at the shelter, Blackleky was adopted right here in Thailand. 🇹🇭

She joined her adopters – and their two dogs Tomato and Potato – in Bangkok just last month and has already made herself at home. After many tough years on the street, all Blackyleky now has to worry about is which of her many cosy corners to sleep in! 💤

“Everything is going really well,” says her mum. “She’s gotten the routine down and is comfortable with [her dog brothers].

“She has grown a huge obsession with toys and hoards them in the corner of the sofa like a little nest. She’s never seen without at least one. 😆🩷”

We’ve loved seeing Blackyleky transition from street dog to lady of leisure, and we will keep working tirelessly so that more dogs like her can experience the same.
