So Many Of You Were Heartbroken To Learn Yseras St..

So many of you were heartbroken to learn Ysera’s story back in January. Now, this brilliant boy has become a Sponsor Dog 🐶✨
Fearful of humans, Ysera did his best to hide after being grievously wounded by a snare trap left for wild animals. This horrible injury ultimately led to the amputation of his front leg. When he was safely secured, our vets also found a bullet lodged in his neck. This poor, sweet boy must have suffered so greatly. 😢
Though Ysera remains fearful of people, with the support of our trained team he has been learning to trust that he is safe and to accept being cared for. In the sanctuary, he is what we call a ‘shy dog’, and now as a sponsor dog, he’ll be an ambassador for all shy dogs here ❤️🩹🐾
Broken hearts heal more slowly than broken bodies, but this brave boy has been giving it his best effort and we’re so proud! 💛🧡

⁇ YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED: How does my sponsorship help shy dogs like Ysera?
These special residents are among our most vulnerable and extra care is taken to ensure their feelings of safety and comfort.
Our trained team supports each dog based on their individual needs. Each resident is assessed by our Behaviour Team at the start of their life in the sanctuary to determine how we can best help them. The behaviourists continue to work closely with our shyest dogs, helping to build their confidence and trust, while also alleviating stress wherever possible. ❣️
Designated ‘shy dog’ runs have been built with privacy in mind and have limited occupancy to create a sense of security for dogs who have experienced devastating traumas and seen the worst of humanity, like Ysera.🌿
These are just a few of the ways that, by becoming a sponsor to Ysera, you can be a part of creating safety, security and a caring home for animals who are working hard every day to overcome their traumatic experiences 🕊💫
