Donny is driven by two inspirations: his wife and baby son. On his fieldwork trips through Sarawak’s breathtaking landscapes, he keeps them close to his heart, reminding him why every bit of his work is worthwhile – for his family – the present and future generations.

Donny’s journey in different parts of the state has shown him beautiful and pristine forests and rivers, as well as rare wildlife. With every step, he hopes his conservation efforts will protect these natural treasures and empower indigenous communities as co-stewards of their environment.

Through his work, Donny builds good rapport with these communities, seeing firsthand the positive impact of conservation on their lives. Together, they’re paving the way for a thriving future for Sarawak’s nature and its people. 💚🌳
