Kurusart And Anne Were Just Meant To Be Adoptaseni..

Kurusart and Anne were just meant to be 🥰 #AdoptASeniorPetMonth

Kurusart was brought to the Soi Dog shelter in 2021 after being hit by a car and going irreversibly blind.

Despite being the cuddliest teddy bear 🐻, he spent almost three years at the shelter waiting for a home – such is the plight of a senior and special needs dog.

Seeing Kurusart’s struggle, our amazing partner rescue Dogs 4 Rescue decided to give him a chance, and he travelled to join them in Manchester, UK 🇬🇧 in May this year.

The team matchmade Kurusart with Anne here, and it wasn’t long into their foster-to-adopt arrangement that she realised he was the exactly the companion she needed.

Although the photos speak for themselves, here’s a sweet update from Kurusart’s (renamed Curuso) wider family:

“Curuso is doing fabulously well! He is such a loving dog and I cannot begin to tell you the difference he has made to Anne’s life. I guess there is no way of telling whether Curuso feels the same as he can’t talk to us, but he does seem to love his mum and is very content. ❤

He enjoys his walks, although he doesn’t like to go far and is in need of a good nap when he gets back! He spends a lot of time strolling around the garden though.

He is still carrying a little bit too much weight, so we are trying to reduce his meals very gradually, and give him fewer treats, but it is so hard not to spoil him!

He is always glad to see us when we visit, and now comes into the living room when we do video calls. He recognises our voices but can’t understand why we are not there to make a fuss of him.

We are slowly introducing him to our house for visits. Our cats tend to make themselves scarce but I am not sure that Curuso has realised yet that they exist!”
