Lord Pigro A.k.a Forrest Came To Us In 2012 After ..

LORD PIGRO a.k.a Forrest came to us in 2012 after a lady called us frantically seeking help. This lady, an air stewardess, would visit regularly a pet shop in Setia Alam where she would pay for kibbles the shop owner fed several mixed breed dogs kept in the premises. One day, she saw a paralysed puppy sitting in one of the glass display cases and was told that he was scheduled for euthanasia. That is when she called us. So we took Forrest in and in less than a year he was adopted by a Malaysian woman married to a foreigner. Unfortunately he was sent back to his country and they could not take Forrest with them when they left. And he came back to us. That was sometime in 2014.

He has been with us since. As a puppy, Forrest was a little hantu. When we made wheels for him, he turned it into a hammock for himself. Forrest had nose cancer and had put up a good fight. We will miss him as he is one of tge doggo that shaped MDDB’s identity. Run free and rest well Forrest and thank you for giving us the opportunity

to love and care for you.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
