On 13 October 2024, A Female Poodle Cross Was Foun..

On 13 October 2024, a female poodle cross was found along the corridors of the 11th storey of Blk 134 Bedok North Street 2. The individual who reported this to the SPCA knocked on several doors to locate the dog’s owner, but no one came forward to claim her. The dog was subsequently brought to the SPCA.

Upon assessment by the SPCA’s clinic, it was found that the dog had severely matted fur on all her limbs and overgrown nails that had curved and cut into her paws, causing significant discomfort. She is currently receiving veterinary attention. The SPCA is treating this as a case of neglect and abandonment.

This case has been escalated to the authorities for further investigation. The SPCA does not have the legal authority to request CCTV footage, and even if footage is retrieved from nearby cameras, the process can take time, and there is a possibility it may not reveal anything conclusive.

Therefore, we are appealing to members of the public for assistance. If you have any information, witnessed anything unusual on the afternoon of 13 October 2024, or know someone who may have relevant details, we urge you to come forward.

Please contact our 24/7 hotline at 6287 5355 (ext. 9) or email inspector@spca.org.sg. All information provided will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Under the Animals and Birds Act, individuals found guilty of cruelty to animals, including abandonment, can face a jail term of up to 18 months and/or a fine of up to $15,000. Your help could make a difference in bringing justice to this case.
