From Teresa:
Dear Kah Yein,
The first person who adopted Lotus, the 8-month German Shepherd whom I found tied to a pole at the children’s playground, returned him after a day. Said she is not ready to handle a high-energy dog like him. So I sent Lotus to the vet’s for neutering, vacc and deworm and a thorough check-up before rehoming him again. I’d like to appeal for a subsidy for Lotus’s sterilisation. The vet’s rate is RM150. I understand that AC’s subsidy is up to RM120 only. That’s OK.
As for Bobby, the maggot-eared dog, his wound is recovering well but it will take up to 3 -4 weeks. Bobby is a senior dog. The vet flushes the wound with iodine and gives him antibiotic on a daily basis. No idea how much the bill will come up to but vet has requested that I pay him a some money every 1-2 weeks because he’s had some not-so-pleasant experience with rescuers in the past. That’s fine. I’ll pay him some cash, compile all the receipts and then mail them to you. Is that OK?
We will be subsidising both cases.
