Shakhan Was Found In Excruciating Pain After She W..

Shakhan was found in excruciating pain after she was hit by a speeding vehicle. 🚙‼

More than 10 million stray dogs roam Thailand’s streets, facing a daily threat of road traffic accident which can be a life-altering event or a death sentence. 💔

Once in our hospital, our veterinary team found Shakhan had multiple severe fractures to her hind end: a left femur comminuted fracture, a right sacroiliac fracture, a right hip luxate with ischium fracture, and a right tibia fracture. Heartbreaking, but all too common.

Over the last several months, Shakhan has undergone multiple surgeries. Her intensive healing journey is not over, but her beautiful smile has returned and it is clear that she knows she is safe. ❤️‍🩹
