#RIP Xiao Qiang… 再见却再也不能相见😭

担任2023晚宴海报主角的 — 小强

在今天 (2024年10月2号) 下午，于兽医诊所正式宣告离开这个世界，高龄16岁的小强，经历坎坷悲痛的过去。

13年前，2011年得8月份，Ms Yong在某工厂发现两条腿已经断了的小强，医生诊断其盆骨断裂，肋骨有裂痕，而且骨头也细菌感染了所以其中一只腿必须要截肢，另外一只脚也已经肌肉萎缩不能伸直也可能要截肢，以至于小强的余生都无法正常行走，并且一只眼睛已经瞎了。

但是他真的真的很坚强，一直努力的尝试靠自己行走，即使拖拉着身子，他也努力前行，有时候线下活动也陪着义工们出席募款。

一直是个开朗的毛孩子，在园区生活了13年，昨晚紧急入院，原本今天需要进行输血抢救，但是年事已高的小强，真的经不起这些病痛，最终在诊所离去了。

小强对人类却是来者不拒，非常友善黏人，只要叫他 『小强～』

他就会开心得猛摇尾巴，乖得不得了。

很想告诉大家，我们近年来狠心拒绝收容浪浪，是因为我们园区有不少年迈老狗，生病/残缺的猫狗，需要很多心思和金钱去照顾他们，小强在2-3岁的时候进来了园区，一呆就是13年。。。

这其中需要花费的金钱和时间，真真切切的是很大的消耗，我们不进行安乐，他坚强的要活下去，我们就毅然的照料着他，陪伴着他，一直到终老，缘尽。。。

10几年前的毛孩，一只只老去，一只只离去，

留下的是无尽的回忆和思念，

愿小强的来生没有苦痛，要过得很好 很幸福，

跟着温暖的光离去，带着所有的祝福离去，

我们想念你，我们都爱你，小强，RIP….

Today, on October 2, 2024, Xiao Qiang, the star of the 2023 banquet poster, officially left this world at a veterinary clinic. At the age of 16, Xiao Qiang had endured a challenging and painful past.

Thirteen years ago, Ms. Yong discovered Xiao Qiang in a factory, where he had two broken legs. The doctor diagnosed him with a fractured pelvis and cracked ribs, and due to a bacterial infection, one of his legs had to be amputated. The other leg had muscle atrophy and was unable to extend, possibly requiring amputation as well, which meant Xiao Qiang could never walk normally again, and he had lost vision in one eye.

But he was incredibly strong. He always made an effort to try to walk on his own, dragging himself forward, and sometimes he attended fundraising events with volunteers. He was such a cheerful little guy, living in the shelter for 13 years. Last night, he was rushed to the hospital, and although he was scheduled for a blood transfusion today, the pain of old age was too much for him, and he ultimately passed away at the clinic.

Xiao Qiang was always welcoming to humans, very friendly and affectionate. Just calling out “Xiao Qiang~” would make him wag his tail excitedly; he was such a well-behaved little soul.

We want to share that we have made the tough decision to not take in stray animals because our shelter is home to many elderly dogs and sick or disabled cats and dogs, requiring a lot of care, attention, and financial resources. Xiao Qiang came to our shelter at the age of 2-3 and stayed with us for 13 years. The resources we invested in him over the years have truly been significant. He was determined to live, and we committed to caring for him, accompanying him until the end.

As the years go by, our beloved furry friends age and leave us one by one, leaving behind endless memories and longing.

We wish for Xiao Qiang’s next life to be free from suffering, to be happy and well. May he depart with warmth and blessings. We miss you and love you, Xiao Qiang. RIP…

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
