Boon Is Over The Moon In Her New Home. We First Me..

Boon is over the moon in her new home. 🙌❤️

We first met Boonpratarn (affectionately known as Boon) back in September 2022. A tourist witnessed her being hit by a car and called Soi Dog for help.

Boon had suffered a fracture and needed surgery soon after she arrived with us. Once recovered, all she could do was wait patiently for a family to come along, which they did just over a year later!

Boon joined them in Florida, USA 🇺🇸 in January this year. Six months in, this is what they have to say about her:

“We are so grateful to have Boon in our lives. She has already settled seamlessly into our family unit. She has gained confidence and has extended her trust to each of us. We can’t imagine our lives without her, it’s as if she’s always been a member of our family.

It brings us so much joy to watch her achieve milestones and how excited she gets when she does. When she first came to us, she wouldn’t sleep in her bed, get on the couch, go for walks, etc. In the months that have passed she has learned to do all of these and more. She still doesn’t play with toys, but she does like to steal socks which she “plays” with.

Boon loves to sunbathe, go on walks, go on car rides, get pup cups, and guard our backyard from the local bunny population. She is very vocal and lets us know when she is hungry, tired, playful or needs to go to the bathroom. She has had two check-ups with her vet so far and we are amazed at how well behaved she is, even in what most dogs would consider a stressful situation.

We are told by everyone who meets her that she looks like a fox. Though we don’t know exactly what her mix is, we all agree that she is beautiful and sweet and that’s all that matters.

We recommend Soi Dog Foundation to anyone who asks about adopting a dog. The process was clear, upfront and they have been so supportive. We have no regrets about our decision to adopt and are blessed every day that we have Boon in our lives.”
