How Is Gerald Doing Indoors?

First thing we did was to get the Monsters back to the catio. Last night, Rey must have accidentally stepped on the door handle of Stargate and opened the gate unintentionally (or was it intentional?). This morning, I found the entire Monster clan over in Bunny’s Place. But it was raining so heavily, so I let them be as long as there were no war cries.
After the rain subsided a little, we got them back. Then, a fight broke up, amongst themselves. Monster vs Monster. No casualties.
Everyone ate breakfast, as usual.
For the Blondies, I only managed to get Samantha and Kai to eat. Akira and Indra wanted to play.
Gerald too didn’t want to eat initially, despite me changing foods for him.
As expected, Gerald messed up the pantry, but instead of washing the area with water, I swept up the mess. I don’t want the contact dermatitis to flare up again. All of things, my feet are allergic to contact with water. No detergent, just plain water.
It took some time to persuade him, but he finally ate.
There was just a bit of the normal Gerald-yowling this morning. Not incessantly, just a little bit.
Later, he was all quiet. I peeped and saw him inside this cage. It’s good if he takes this cage as his den. At least he will have his own space. None of the Blondies have claimed this cage yet. Even last time, during the 18-day orientation, Gerald liked this cage. He can have it. It used to be Bunny’s.
He’s inside and he looks quite contented.
Earlier this morning, I found Gerald inside one of the cat houses in the cat tree inside the room too. It’s good that he has places to hide.
If Gerald doesn’t yowl as he did before, I would be happy to have him living with his biological family indoors where it is so much safer.
As I am writing this, I just heard another car zoom past outside. It is raining, for goodness’ sake, but our road slopes down, so cars tend to accelerate.
Often, when I drive out, I am so afraid to cross the road because the cars that come toward me have zero mercy. They drive at breakneck speed without a care for anyone, even if they can see you are trying to get out of a junction onto the main road. Why are people in such a hurry? Courtesy on the road is almost non-existent and if you are lucky enough to get it once in a while, consider yourself so, so lucky.
With more electric cars on the road, it is just going to get worse because the electric cars are very much more powerful. I know, because I drive a Byd Dolphin. But I don’t speed. I just don’t want to contribute to more tail pipe exhaust gas emission.
Please drive safely, please drive vigilantly and be considerate to the street animals who do not understand traffic rules and human rules.
