🍁 This Canada Day, we celebrate canine companions who found forever families across the border.

Before the July 2022 dog import ban, over 500 lucky pups found loving homes in Canada. Here’s some heartwarming tales of those whose lives were transformed thanks to the power of international adoption. 💪

🧡 Born without front legs and brutally shot in the head, Amira survived nine years of struggling on the streets, all whilst caring for multiple litters. After a remarkable recovery, she found her forever home in Montreal where she now enjoys walks on her custom prosthetics, paddleboarding and plenty of playtime.

🧡 Karimeen was found in a sack and left to fend for herself when she was just one week old. After receiving the love and care she needed, this gorgeous girl was adopted to British Columbia. In the words of her adopter Cass, “She completes my life”.

🧡 Karhus isn’t your typical Soi Dog. A larger-than-life Alaskan Malamute, he was found in a shocking state, chained up and abandoned in a shop driveway. After three years at the shelter, he finally found loving arms in Alberta and is now thriving in the natural habitat where he truly belongs.

🧡 Best buddies, Beluga and Caviar were rescued in Thailand and lovingly reunited in Canada. They were found scavenging for food but now live a life of luxury where they never have to worry about their next meal again.

Two years in, countless dogs continue to suffer, stripped of their one chance at finding happiness. Whether you’re a Canadian citizen or a worldwide supporter, please visit our website to learn how you can help. 🙏
