On January 23rd, we received an injured water hen chick from NParks. This brave bird had a significant foot deformity that made perching and moving a challenge. We took the little one in, determined to provide the best care and rehabilitation.

Despite the obstacles, the water hen’s spirit shone through. With dedicated care provided by our veterinary team, the chick showed incredible resilience, adapting to the limitations and making steady progress.

On April 9th, after three months of hard work and hope, we released our feathered friend back into the wild. Watching this bird take flight filled us with pride and joy, knowing we played a part in the waterhen’s journey to freedom.

We hope you enjoyed this story, which is one amongst 10 other wild stories we see everyday πŸŒΏπŸ’š
