Dive into the captivating stories of our ACRES Human Library! Join us on a unique journey, where every “book” is a real-life tale waiting to be explored. 🌟

🌍 #HumanLibrary is a concept that originated from Denmark in the 2000s. This August, ACRES proudly launches our Human Library initiative, inviting both young minds and seasoned souls to delve into the narratives of our team members dedicated to wildlife and animal welfare advocacy.

🐾 “Read” our books to discover career paths in animal welfare advocacy, understand the challenges and triumphs of working for animals and gain some insights into overcoming obstacles through real-life accounts of success, joy and resilience.

📚✨ Our (human) books are our experienced education, crime investigation, wildlife rescue, advocacy executives and our Co-CEOs. All these books are ‘bound’ by their common passion for the animals, but have diverse journeys and wisdom to share! Check out the feedback from Nanyang Girls High and Pei Hwa Secondary School students who heard from our ACRES books Ka Lai, Karina, Beng and Jasvic Lye in March this year.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
