Do you remember Ysera’s heartbreaking story? 💔

He was found with a life-threatening wound on one of his front legs. He’d been caught in a snare trap for wild animals and never received the care he so desperately needed. Then, upon further examination, our vets also found Ysera had a bullet lodged in his neck. This sweet boy must have been in unbearable pain.

He was rushed into emergency surgery. His leg had to be amputated, but his life was saved. He spent many weeks recovering from his immense physical trauma. Now, the wounds that remain are those of the emotional trauma.

Ysera is now a resident of the Sanctuary and has begun to form trusting relationships with a few selected humans, including his carer. 🧡🌿
