Today, on #WorldTurtleDay, let’s celebrate our freshwater turtles, the terrapins. Sadly, our rivers and streams, along with their inhabitants like the baby terrapin in this animation, are threatened by #plasticpollution.

A single-use plastic bag discarded indiscriminately can end up in rivers. It could then become a deadly trap for #terrapins.

Let’s make a difference!

Dispose of plastics responsibly – use proper ♻️ or rubbish bins to prevent waste from reaching our waterways.
