When husband went out to work early this morning, he told me Creamy was in our porch. At that time, I was busy preparing the medicines and feeding all our inside cats, so by the time I went out to the porch, Creamy had already left.
I don’t think he comes to eat. He’s just here to socialise or stake his claim on our porch and intimidate Gerald.
When I was feeding our cats, I heard Gerald mewing from a distance. That’s probably him telling me that he cannot come back because Creamy was there.
By now, I can tell from the tone of the mew what it means!
I just hope this mewing doesn’t incur the wrath of the neighbours. In any case, I’ve already left the neighbourhood chat group (good riddance for me to leave all the unfriendly people and I’m sure they are equally glad I left (good riddance of me for them too!) so that there is no one making appeals for street animals or for them to stop playing with fireworks). I figured after appealing for 13 years, if they won’t listen, there is no chance they will listen. These are very headstrong characters who simply do not like street animals. And I am alone in my fight. The other animal-lover left much earlier. We know when we are outnumbered and when it’s a futile fight.
So, by the time I went out to the porch, Gerald and Misty had come back!
At least they got to eat their breakfast this morning and as long as Creamy does not come back later, Gerald and Misty will be back to ask for snacks multiple times in a day!
Cats graze in the wild. They eat only when they are hungry and certainly not twice a day. But grazing has to be controlled, it has to be in small amounts. Otherwise, obesity would creep in and that would bring on a whole other set of health problems, so no free-flow, but controlled amounts whenever they want to eat.
