The claims are picking up this month and that’s a good sign.
However, we would just like to gently remind all applicants to please read the policies in its entirety before making an application so that there are no misunderstandings later on. We would also be very grateful if all applicants would understand that we appreciate honesty from everyone. It is always best to just tell the truth instead of attempting to mask it, because at the end of the day, the truth always comes out. We did have an unpleasant encounter with one such applicant this month, but luckily, such are few and far in between.
We are very concerned with the news report on MBSA’s plan to round up and kill street dogs. We hope you have signed the petition initiated by a concerned citizen. On our part, we have also made contacts to, hopefully, mitigate this decision. Please join us in speaking up for the voiceless – sign the petition. We maintain that killing is never an answer to any problem. Just because you can, it doesn’t mean you must kill. Compassion and empathy are virtues that make us humane. The poor dogs are not deliberately causing trouble. They are only there because they have nowhere else to go. Some could be abandoned pets or offspring of abandoned pets. Worse still, some could have just escaped from home and are now lost, desperately seeking to find their way home. We urge MBSA to please reconsider its decision. We urge MBSA to consider neutering as a more compassionate solution.
To any animal defender and protector, if you are able to rescue any of these dogs and give them shelter, you are most welcome to apply for our Neutering Aid Package. Policies apply.
