Soo Farng has set up a cage for Grey for the 10 days of crate rest before starting acupuncture or any other supportive treatment. This crate rest is to give the spine a chance to heal, if that is possible.
Even though the vet said Grey has past the “golden hour”, there is no harm giving this 10 day period a chance. Grey is also under medication for these 10 days.
For some morning sunshine while Soo Farng washes his cage.
The very good news is that Grey can defecate by himself. This is such a relief. The faeces is also well-formed. This means he hasn’t lost this function. However, Grey is still dripping urine. Perhaps after 10 days, something can be done for this.
Grey also has a fantastic appetite and this is also good news.
For new readers, we found donors to sponsor Grey’s first medical bill. We will be following up on his subsequent treatment and if you would like to chip in to sponsor his treatment, please write to me. Grey was rescued by Ms Lee Soo Farng from the street on 6th April 2024 when she noticed he was dragging his hind legs. Soo Farng took Grey to see a vet the very next day and he is on the first-line treatment now. There will be follow-up treatment.
