Soo Farng is so excited! She just sent this video where Grey is attempting to walk a few steps on his own!!
This is truly incredible! All thanks to Soo Farng’s dedicated loving care, especially in cleaning after Grey as he is still incontinent now. And thanks to all donors too, for sponsoring Grey’s treatment. Grey still has a long way to go, with physiotherapy and acupuncture. And thanks to Soo Farng’s friend who is giving her a lot of support and help.
We have taken the liberty of consulting several vets now for more advice on Grey’s condition. It is paraparesis, which means it’s the partial inability to move the limbs. And it’s due to spinal nerve compression (by someone’s autogate) which led to nerve damage in that part. But with the benefit of youth, there is hope that the nerves can regenerate though it would be a slow process which could take 2-3 months, and it could be partial too. It did not help that this is not a recent injury so the “golden hour” to repair has passed.
But we are not giving up on Grey. Soo Farng will take him for physiotherapy and acupuncture and all the vets we have consulted agree that this is Grey’s best options.
Grey knows that so many people are rooting for him, so as with all pets, they will strive to get better, if only to please their humans.
We are raising funds to help Grey, so if you would like to chip in, please write to me at chankahyein@gmail.com.
Thank you!
