I think Gerald came back to get Misty.
He was whining in the porch, probably calling for Misty. So I opened the door, let him in, and I carried him with the hope that he would keep quiet, but he was restless and wanted to go back into Bunny’s Place.
So I let him in and Misty was overjoyed to see him. She jumped down from the top-of-the-world platform and they had a happy reunion. Misty was grooming him from head to paws.
Then, both stood at Bunny’s Door, asking to be let out. So I took their cue and opened the door. Indra rushed out and so did Gerald and Misty.
Gerald led Misty to the front door and both stood there, waiting for me to open it.
Indra was busy playing so I opened the door, and both went out to the porch.
They hung around the porch, Misty stretched herself….as though saying, “At last! I’m free again!”
It was a happy scene, actually.
Well, maybe not all cats are meant to be kept indoors. Some are probably just happier being free outdoors.
They will be back tomorrow for breakfast, I’m sure.
For now, please…..let me have a good night’s sleep tonight.
