It has been a few days ago when I noticed loose stools in the sandpit and one particular litter box.
Just before that, there was one day when I saw the remains of three cockroaches in Bunny’s Place. And coincidentally it was around that time that I gave everyone a pinch of greens.
So I’m not sure what caused the loose stools – was it ingesting the cockroaches or the pinch of greens?
Initially I thought it was Gerald, but CCTV showed it wasn’t him.
It was actually Kai. So it started with Kai and then, Akira.
I gave them steamed pumpkin with their pre-probiotics, and changed their diet to purely Cindy’s canned chicken.
Kai’s problem was resolved and so was Akira’s.
Indra was fine until it was her turn to get it.
Today, I gave everyone Bioflor (Saccharomyces Boulardii) with their steamed pumpkin.
Kai was the first to get it and the first to recover. Then, it was Akira and lastly, Indra. Strangely, it followed their age!
Steaming the pumpkin.
All three took their turns to have loose stools, but throughout, they were very alert and active, so I didn’t think a vet’s visit was warranted. With youth, hopefully they can recover with diet restriction, steamed pumpkin and probiotics.
Checking the CCTV every day to see who has been passing out loose stools. I found the loose stools in the sandpit and the vege pots.
This litter box too.
Indra at the corner.
I recently had two new cameras installed just to point at the cat’s sandpit and the room. And I had an old blurry camera replaced with one of higher resolution, also to watch the cats.
