Today was Tabs’ check-up after 3 weeks of daily 150ml subcut fluids.
She already improved so much in appetite and demeanour once I increased the subcut fluids. She is also on the AIM food.
It’s encouraging news from the blood test results.
Her creatinine is stable, her urea came down (this was the main concern the last time) and her phosphate is normal.
The urea came down from 16.6 to 13.8 now. The vet says it’s good. I can decrease the subcut to 6 days per week instead of daily, giving Tabs one cheat day per week.
Tabs doesn’t drink much water, that’s the problem. That is why the subcut is needed.
So, all good for now and the next check-up will be in 2-3 months’ time.
What a relief!!
Tabs is home.
Tabs and Ginger will have their CKD check-up together in 2-3 months’ time. Both had their stem cell therapy on 5th Jan 2024.
So was it the increased frequency of the subcut fluids or AIM food, I don’t know. All I want is for Tabs to feel better and she definitely does now!
