Last week we shared with you the tragic story of Carmen – a timid dog who endured a life of suffering on the streets 💔😥 .

Severely injured in a snare trap and shot 15 times, Carmen arrived with a broken body and soul.

Thanks to animal lovers like you, Carmen received the emergency treatment she needed and gained enough strength to undergo amputation surgery for her injured leg. She’s now recovering in our hospital, receiving 24/7 medical support and loving care.

Sadly, Carmen suffered trauma that goes beyond her physical wounds. Life on the streets left her wary, frightened and unable to trust humans. While she’s slowly warming up to our dedicated staff, she will need specialised behavioural support to heal her emotional scars 💪.
