The 4 components of IUCN Green List outline our commitment to holistic marine conservation, check out some highlights that have us doing a happy dance:

◼️Good Governance: Open and inclusive decision-making, showing respect for the rights of Indigenous and local communities to foster equitable stakeholder participation.

◼️Sound Design and Planning: Merge science, and stakeholders’ input for a unified approach to conservation.

◼️Effective Management: Actionable steps to achieve conservation goals, mitigate threats, and secure financial sustainability for effective park management and operations.

◼️Successful Conservation Outcomes: Evaluate the positive impacts on biodiversity, ecosystem health, and community well-being.

To obtain the IUCN Green List status, criteria in each one must be met, for all these components are linked, like pieces of a puzzle. #OTW2GreenList
