It’s a miracle that Mackerel survived after he was mercilessly shot with a harpoon.

Until that day, Mackerel was happily cared for by a community of animal lovers. Tragically, it took only one stranger’s malicious act of cruelty to threaten his life. When the weapon pierced the right side of his little body, sweet Mackerel must have been in so much pain 💔.

After finding that he’d been shot, Mackerel’s carers immediately reached out to our Mobile Clinic Team for help. Given the severity of his injury, our medical team provided emergency care and quickly began the five-hour journey to our hospital in Phuket, where Mackerel received life-saving surgery. Thankfully, no vital organs were punctured and Mackerel is now recovering in our care 💪🐶.
