Dear all,

As we had informed before – MDDB CANINE WELFARE PROJECT BHD will be used exclusively as a business entity from now on. This is our attempt of trying to generate income so that MDDB can one day self-sustain.

As we have to also think of MDDB’s future and bring in new people to take over – we have now created MDDB CANINE WELFARE SOCIETY – which will henceforth take over the running of the organisation.

We give ourselves two years – until our bieannual general meeting in Jan 2026 – to solidify this new entity.

Membership will be open to the public following the BGM whereby people can also vie for the president, deputy president, secretary, asst secretary, treasurer and two committee members positions.

However, those wanting to be an MDDB office bearer will have to meet several criteria with one of it being personal financial stability.

Therefore beginning today, please forward you contributions and donations to:

MDDB CANINE WELFARE SOCIETY

PUBLIC BANK ACCOUNT NO: 3237688227

and no longer to MDDB CANINE WELFARE PROJECT BHD.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
