Remembering The Remarkable Gill Dalley

Today marks seven years since we lost a friend, a visionary and a hero – Soi Dog co-founder Gill Dalley.

Gill wasn’t only a hero to us; her spirit inspired people worldwide. And her love and dedication transformed the lives of countless animals in Thailand and beyond.

If you’ve visited the Gill Dalley Sanctuary in Phuket, Thailand, you will have seen Gill’s statue, a permanent reminder of her unwavering care and commitment to animals. Privately commissioned by her husband and fellow co-founder John, Gill’s statue stands in a peaceful garden in the heart of the sanctuary she dedicated her life to. It’s a safe place for both humans and dogs to sit and reflect. 🐾❤️

Gill said, “You make your own choice to live your life the way you want to live it”, and these words resonate deeply with us. They remind us to strive for greatness and to use our lives to make a positive impact for others, just as she did.
